The Product Development Life-Cycle

While all products are different, the development process usually follows a distinct pathway, irrespective of the methodology used (Sequential, Waterfall, Agile, etc….)

This can be expressed as the “V-Model” – the well-known graphic with a thousand variations!

We have our own “Plain English” V-Model for the aerospace market……..

NOTES:-

"VALIDATION" means establishing that you have an APPROPRIATE standard of Product Requirements established and the developed Design Configuration should satisfy those Requirements.

"VERIFICATION" means showing that the Design Configuration works correctly, and that the functionality delivered meets the requirements specified.

The Validation that you have designed the correct product for the market will be established by customer sales performance!
